Tencel and cotton pre-flat nappy - Pepsu

Highly absorbent and comfortable pre-flat diaper with elasticity and reversible fabric.

Handmade by a mother from Estonia and made only from natural and 100% sustainable materials.

Composed of 3 layers: an outer layer of patterned organic cotton jersey knit and a double inner layer of Tencel*, thinner in the center and thicker inside. Both fabrics are coated with elastane, which gives the diaper elasticity, making it very easy to adjust.

As the format is unfoldable, pre-flat diapers are an alternative to traditional flat cloth diapers or even prefolds, as their adjustment is quite intuitive, making them a practical option for parents and caregivers. However, they have the advantages of flats: they are versatile, leave no marks, conform to the baby's body preventing leaks, and dry very quickly.

They fit babies from approximately 4 to 14kg, and can be folded at the front or back to allow adjustment to the desired size. As it has no fasteners, it needs a boingo or snappi to secure it, and as it is not waterproof, it will require a cover.

* What is Tencel?

• Tencel is a short-fiber fabric with a texture similar to cotton, but with the difference that it only wrinkles, does not shrink, and is very soft and silky to the touch. In terms of absorption, it is comparable to hemp as it is capable of absorbing large amounts of moisture (it retains 10x more water than cotton). 

• Tencel is a very ecological fiber as it is made from wood pulp cellulose, harvested from eucalyptus plantations, a plant that grows quickly and is self-renewing, making it, despite being manufactured, considered a compostable and biodegradable fiber.
