The covers from the Portuguese brand Mind the Bum are simple yet versatile covers that can be used over prefolds, fitteds, and/or other diapers that require a waterproof layer, or, if preferred, with just an absorbent insert folded in three.
They adjust with snaps at the height and waist, allowing them to be used from the first months until potty training. With double elastics at the leg openings, they minimize the risk of leaks.
They have an elastic in the tummy area to provide a perfect fit.
It has a front snap to attach inserts, as well as two flaps, which can keep the inserts in place, even if they don't have snaps.
We feature a front and back flap for secure placement of inserts, keeping them in place during use. These cover systems are an economical option as they can be reused at each change, as long as they are not soiled with poop. We recommend simply wiping the area that came into contact with the wet diaper, only changing the inside, or letting the cover air out between uses and washing it only at the end of the day.
Composition:
Exterior: 100% Polyester
Washing routine:
- Wash diapers every 2-3 days.
- Do not fill the machine more than 3/4 when the diapers are still dry. If the machine is too full, the diapers will not wash correctly.
- First, wash the diapers on a 30-40 minute cold cycle and spin. This will prepare the diapers for the main wash.
- Then, do a long cycle, at a temperature of 40-60ºC.
- The amount of detergent to use depends on several factors: the amount of fill in the machine, the dosage measured by the detergent brand itself, and the hardness of the water in your region. In hard water areas, the use of descaler is recommended.
- Washed diapers should not smell of detergent. If they do, it may indicate excessive use of detergent, which can saturate the fibers of the absorbents and lead to problems with leaks, the diapers not being washed properly, and initially smelling bad.
- Do not use fabric softener or bleach.
